O: Weighed, DNE. Repeated rads as cervical spine does not have much movement and large kink. Gave meds, HF 46g venison/rat. Did not fully absorb fluids from yesterday. Moved to main room

O: Dropped 45 grams of rat with meds on food.

S: Standing on mirror, starting rolling head around and clacking when became aware of handler. 1 cast.

O: Closed wound on the distal aspect of L ventral ulna with tissue glue. Head tilt to the L in hand, bird very BAR and angry otherwise. Performed PT and massaged neck. When placed back in cage, bird tried to barrel roll, fell on back, grabbed at mat.

A: Bird has severe neurologic signs, torticollis and rolling which worsens with stress. Prognosis always very guarded in cases like this, some will improve with time while others do not.

P: Monitor tissue glued wound on L ventral wing. Monitor neuro signs.

S: Standing with head tiltedto L ~90 degrees, tilted fully upside when went to catch. Flared wings , with L extending less than R. Stayed balanced for catch even with head upside down. Head tilted ~45 degrees in hand. Struggling and biting the entire time.

O: Changed dressing over L wrist. Tendon well hydrated. Cleaned with chlorahex, reapplied duogel, covered with telfa and tega. Stretched neck gently to R toi try and even out head. Gave meds and fluids. Dropped 45g rat

A: Balance surprisingly good for how tilted head is. Head tilt appears worse than yesterday. L wing wound looks good and should heal fine as long as tendon remains hydrated.

P: Start PT on neck to try and keep muscles from tightening and worsening tilt

S: Standing in box. Struggling in hand, footing and biting. Rolling around when placed in cage.

O: Checked vitals. Performed intake exam. Took rads. Cleaned L ventral wrist wound w/ chlorohex and applied Duoderm gel. Covered w/ telfa/tegaderm. Gave fluids and oral meds. Placed in cage in ICU.

Radiographic findings: No fractures noted.
Initial treatment: 0.17cc Meloxicam, 0.51cc TMS. 25cc LRS SQ.

A: Baby presented with head tilt that worsened from stress of being placed inside of cage. Patient was ataxic and rolling around when placed in cage. Suspecting head tilt caused by neurologic issue as result of storm that happened yesterday. Baby also has wound on L wrist that is leaving some tendon exposed. Will keep tendon bandaged and moist with ointment until wound can be debrided and sutured.

P: Rx Meloxicam, TMS, gabapentin, pentox and fluids. BID bandage changes for L ventral wrist, clean and apply duoderm gel. Vet check and suture wound 5/19. Collect blood and fecal 5/18. Collect IOPs 5/19. Monitor tendon on L wing wound closely.
